The Year of The Tiger!

Japanese Dragon and Tiger Sleeve

The Japanese style in tattoo usually has a motif such as dragons  and tigers like this tattoo. The Koi fish tattoo was the start of this sleeve tattoo, I had put that piece under the arm. It is a good idea to do the harder stuff first, don't save those spots for last.

The dragon all done in black and gray moves around in the clouds, finishing the top of the arm. The dragon is covering up some older tattoos that just didn't fit with the new design.

Adding the scroll work to enhance the name and slogan on his lower arm bring some continuity to this Japanese Tattoo. A tiger climbing up the arm is set off with adding bamboo and some distant mountains.

Tigers Tigers Tigers

tiger tattooTiger running through the water leaves a real splash! This tattoo was done in one long sitting. I don't recommend that everybody sit through a big tattoo in just one sitting, some are better off getting the outline and shading in one session and then the colors done at another time.
tiger tattooHere is a tiger perched high on a ledge, roaring over the lowlands. Roaring a warning call to the valley below.
tiger tattooTiger hidden in a rose. This was a custom tatto that I drew for the customer, and should not be stolen. Think up your own design and have you tattoo artist draw it up for you.
tiger tattooMaybe this tiger is looking for some fish?

There were lions and now there is Tigers

Japanese tiger tattoo design. A tiger on the hunt. 2010 is the year of the tiger on the Chinese calender and will return twelves years later. The Chinese horoscope is a great source for tattoo ideas. Check with a Chinese horoscope calender to find out what animal year you were born in. Other horoscopes can be used with you animal sign to bring out more of your characteristics, maybe you are a water sign or an air sign and would like that to show in your next tattoo.
