Celtic Additions and Traditions in Tattooing

 A little addition of a Celtic pattern armband to a delicate Harp tattoo on the inside of the arm. The past two years I have been doing a lot of interesting Celtic tattoo designs. Coming from an Irish background, this is pretty cool.
 Tattooing has maintained its popularity over the years as new generations explore the ancient art. Studying the past of tattoo trends I have learned that tattoo designs come and go in cycles. Today with all the incredible talent in the tattoo industry the art has really exploded. After tattooing over 20 years, what once was a cottage industry it has gone beyond mainstream and cut across age and cultural borders.
 Inspiration is all around us,  I always find new inspirations to bring to my tattooing. One day I am doing cool black and gray Celtic design and the next an artful Disney character I am drawing for today's tattoo..

Celtic Tattoos are getting Popular!

This tattoo started off as a cover up as you may have seen in an earlier post. Slowly we took the tatto up the arm with a celtic circle to complete the top of the arm. Who knows where we will go next.

The Celtic Cover Up

This was a first for me, using celtic tattoo designs to cover up an armband tattoo. Tattoo cover ups are always a challenge, not something to take liightly. Plan out your next tattoo and avoid the need for a tattoo removal or cover up.

Sunday Tattooing at Norm's

With a great military history and heritage, Highland Falls is home to West Point and my Patron Saints Norm and Joan DeYoung. Thank you.
Working on the fine people of this area is always rewarding. Just look at this tattoo and you can tell that heritage and duty runs deep here. As generations of Americans serve us and our country they work hard to continue the traditions of their family.
