Japanese Koi Tattoo

Japanese style tattooing is one of my favorite styles to work in. The Koi fish is a very strong image for tattoos. Koi fish are know for their strength and ability to swim up stream, legend has it that when it reaches the source of the stream or river it leave the water and turns into a dragon.

After the first sitting we got the Koi and Peony Flowers with water all outlined and the Koi itself colored. I can't wait to show off the finished tattoo!

Happy and Healthy Forth of July! What tattoo mean to you? There are so many reason to get tattooed, someone will always come up with a new one. Personally I like tattoos with a theme behind them, like the full body Japanese style tattoos that take years to create.
