More Tattoo cover ups

Here is a tattoo that was poorly planned and executed. The owner was not very pleased with the workmanship in tattoo work. So we set up a plan and then changed it at the last minute. Now here you can see the results of the tattoo cover up.After three siting the completed tattoo showed no evidence of the old tattoo.
Here are two views of the finished Koi. The contrast between the dark black Koi fish with the cool blues in the water really set off this tattoo and to think it started out as something to be covered up.

The now finished tattoo of a Koi fish, a traditional Japanese tattoo design. It is key to have the finished tattoo look as if it was designed for the body part. With None of the old tattoo showing through.

Happy Anniversary Tattoo

Sharon and Ira's anniversary celebration includes more tattoos for each of them, a new tradition, as this is the third year in a row! Happy anniversary and wishing you all many more.The butterfly is an addition to work we have been doing over the years. An ivy vine and butterflies now completed with this piece right on the back of the ankle.
This dragon was added to complete Ira's sleeve tattoo. It all started many years ago with a cover up of a much older tattoo. The wizard and water fall was used to cover up a bird and as the years have gone by we have added the various Koi fish and now the dragon.

After the first sitting we got the Koi and Peony Flowers with water all outlined and the Koi itself colored. I can't wait to show off the finished tattoo!

A very cool summer tattoo, a Koi inside the arm. I really like the contrast that an orange Koi fish and the deep blue water make in a Japanese style tattoo.This sleeve tattoo is off to a good start.

The Big Day!!!

Well here is the big day! Opening day! Rose City Tattoo is now open as of the 23 of February!
Check out the additions to Nick's arm. Nearly fully sleeved with Japanese scenes and a large Koi tattoo. The elbow has a Lotus flower tattoo to finish off the transition to the upper arm.

Happy and Healthy Forth of July! What tattoo mean to you? There are so many reason to get tattooed, someone will always come up with a new one. Personally I like tattoos with a theme behind them, like the full body Japanese style tattoos that take years to create. Today with modern tattoo equipment the time it takes has definitely been cut down, but still feel like forever.
