Skulls ripping through ribs tattoo. Updated

 As many of you know I like doing skulls tattoos or at the very least I do a lot of them. After more than thirty years of getting tattooed my client is getting to his sides and filling the rib cage with creepy skulls ripping from the body. Doing other side in a couple of weeks. I will keep you posted.

Same day update: Part two of the skulls ripping through the ribs was just finished. A rainy day with no set appointments , I ended up starting a sleeve of skulls and flame and did the right side skulls ripping through the ribs. Check it out.

The Grim Reaper.

Black and grey tattooing is always interesting to do, with the subtle shades of black and grey tattoo ink.

Japanese Dragon and Tiger Sleeve

The Japanese style in tattoo usually has a motif such as dragons  and tigers like this tattoo. The Koi fish tattoo was the start of this sleeve tattoo, I had put that piece under the arm. It is a good idea to do the harder stuff first, don't save those spots for last.

The dragon all done in black and gray moves around in the clouds, finishing the top of the arm. The dragon is covering up some older tattoos that just didn't fit with the new design.

Adding the scroll work to enhance the name and slogan on his lower arm bring some continuity to this Japanese Tattoo. A tiger climbing up the arm is set off with adding bamboo and some distant mountains.

Golden Pagoda, Tattoo Cover up

OK so you got her name on your arm... no problem. Creating a new image is the best way to cover it up. So here is what I did...
Drawn from a picture, I took while in Japan a number of years ago,The Golden Pagoda reflecting in a tranquil pond. When I took the picture I knew that someday I would tattoo the image.

Another reworked tattoo, here once laid a mighty dragon ( but poorly done)but time has shown that some thing are better off fading. I reworked the dragon and added some stars and his signature logo "Chef in Thyme".

The return of Dark and Creepy!

Dark tattoos are a lot of fun to do, I don't always know where they will end. Working to have depth is important to set off the tattoo. If you take a closer look you will find things hiden in the smoke and swirls.
Black and grey tattoo work take a certain subtleness, making sure you don't lose the details.

Leo The Lion!

The majestic Lion, the true king of the jungle. Working in black and grey this lion really pops off the arm. Lion tattoos look real good when they are done large enough to show off their lion courage.

Often we get people coming into the shop with a picture of someone's tattoo. In this case it was Alyssa Milano's Rosary tattoo. After seeing the original, done on the rich and famous, I notice that even famous people walk into the wrong shop and get tattooed by the wrong Tattooist. Go see for yourself just Google her tattoo and compare. Hey, if it's worth putting on your body, then it is worth doing as good as it can be!

Jesus Christ Looking Towards Heaven

I really enjoyed doing this tattoo, even though I do a lot of dark and creepy tattoos I take great care to do a fine job with religious tattoos. This one is on one of our fine Soldiers serving our country in Iraq. Thank a soldier, they are what allows us to do what we want to do by securing our freedom.
